Crossing the street

As I was enjoying a walk this morning, there was one point where I saw a squirrel dart across the road and stop half-way. It was almost like he was checking to make sure there was no traffic coming. He stopped right at the yellow line, looked, and then kept right on crossing. There was no traffic right at that moment,so he made it safely to the other side. But it made me laugh. And now I'm thinking about life and how often I stop to look both ways for dangers and hazards before ploughing ahead in the course that I have in front of me. Definitely food for thought.

The sky was beautiful this morning with the puffy clouds interspersed by blue sky and glimpses of sun through the trees in the forest. What a nice morning!
