Relaxation and fun

I had a great week off of work, and enjoyed spending time with my sister and her husband on the island. It was so nice to have no schedule, sit on the deck and have a lazy breakfast, read at all times of the day, explore a new place, and just rest from the busyness of work.

Elk Falls
Me inside a hollow, burned-out tree. It was totally charred inside, but still alive! We figured it was hit by lightning.

Just a few of the amazing flowers and scenery at the Paradise Meadows, near Mt Washington.
In the "potholes" of the Puntledge River. So fun and crazy! I just about lost my balance here...
We pampered ourselves at the spa one day. What a treat!
Bizarre sign on the sea-walk path. No cars allowed, but bikes and people are okay. Who would drive their car on the sea-walk, with pedestrians and bicyclists? It made me laugh, and ponder too.
The view at Saratoga beach
We went to a Thai restaurant and ate on their rooftop balcony.
Great week, many good memories! If only life could always be that relaxed and fun...
