Okay, so I haven't been going anywhere exotic like some of my friends, nor have I been doing any crazy activities locally, but I've had some new experiences in the kitchen. Yes, that's right...the kitchen. Last Saturday I decided to bake cinnamon buns, which didn't turn out too bad, but not as light or fluffy or gooey as I would have liked. Oh well, it was my first time. I did get my mom's old recipe which she used to make and thought about trying it yesterday, but then I had a better idea. I would learn how to make real buns. So I called my mom, and she agreed to teach me, but we used a recipe that was a quicker one than she used to make. I was pretty pleased with how they turned out. They are fluffy and light and even a little sweet.
I've also been trying a few new meal recipes which have been interesting and pretty successful too. The only negative thing is that the recipes are usually not meant for one person, so either I freeze it, or end up eating it for a whole week. But that's okay too. It means I usually only have to cook one day of the week which is nice since I work full-time.
Looking forward to another new recipe tomorrow...
