Christmas (part 3)

This weekend was a full one, but a good one full of Christmas memory-making activities.

1. Friday night I went carolling with a bunch of people. Not such a big deal normally, but fun to do during Christmas. The memory-making part of it was that it was very cold and windy, and the organizer(s) insisted that all participants dress up as nativity characters. I was a king for about 3 minutes until the wind whipped my Burger King crown off my hood. The duct tape didn't work so well. After about an hour and a bit of carolling, we headed to someone's house for hot chocolate, pancakes, and a movie. I got home late, but it was an enjoyable, memorable evening.

2. Saturday I went shopping. Again, not normally a big deal. It usually takes about 2 minutes TOPS to get to the mall from my house. Not this time. The traffic was nuts, and so was the mall parking lot. And the snow covering some spots didn't help. Good thing I wasn't doing major gift shopping, just groceries.

3. Sunday afternoon I baked cookies. Normally I bake one kind of cookie at a time, and usually by myself. The memorable part was doing it together with my sister-in-law, and we made two kinds at a time, each of us doing one. We made a total of four recipes this afternoon. I forgot to count how many cookies we actually made. It was a fun afternoon.

So, now it's time to begin another week, hopefully filled with many more Christmas memories.
