Well, it's one week exactly until we leave on this adventure to India. Next Sunday after church sometime, we will pack up a few vehicles, load ourselves in along with our gear, and drive to Seattle. I can hardly believe it's here already! Are we ready? Or should I say, am I ready? I've started a packing list of certain things I need to remember, created a packing corner in my house, have all the pills and prescriptions I need, but still I'm feeling a bit uneasy about the readiness part. I'm sure once I'm packed up and everything is loaded in, I will feel more ready, but how can you prepare completely for a different place with the kind of assignment we have? It's pretty impossible. The key is to remember that God is calling me (and all of us) on this trip, and he will take care of the details while we are there - the language, the food, the heat, the travel, all that stuff. It's that big TRUST thing again.
Psalm 91:1-2 - He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
